The ASVM offers support and promote the activities of voluntary organizations in the province of Modena. The ASVM action aims to develop a culture of solidarity, as well as management and organizational skills of the non-profit organizations.
Young European volunteers will work in a stimulating environment that will enable them to acquire or deepen their knowledge of the voluntary organizations and solidarity. There are many local groups that collaborate with the ASVM active in various sectors: health and social care, protection of individual rights, solidarity, artistic, cultural and environmental issues, the fight against xenophobia, etc..
Through this project we would like to strengthen the European dimension of our activities concentrated mainly at local level by supporting the participation of young people, including our own territory, to various forms of voluntary activities, giving them the opportunity to express their personal commitment to stimulating their mutual solidarity.
Tasks and activities
The volunteer will have the opportunity to meet and to work with voluntary members of ASVM. It will be possible, based on the interests, training or ability of the volunteer, to know and to get in touch with one or more organizations, see the realities in which they operate, know its history, activities, how they work. Thereafter, he/she may choose to work with some of these to help them in performing certain tasks.
Volunteers will be introduced to several local associations, to collaborate with them in interesting and useful activities that will also mean a further enrichment and growth for young volunteers. At this stage it will be very useful for the volunteer to spend few hours at our desks decentralized: ASVM since its inception has pursued the choice of the local region through the opening of branch offices. Currently, the CSV is present in every district of the Province. The choice of the association will depend on the ability and motivation of volunteers, as well as agreements between ASVM and associations. The next phase will be different and depending on the path that the volunteer together with mentor and area managers will decide to deepen: Promotion Area, Planning Area, Training Area.
Profile of the volunteer
The young volunteer will be chosen on the basis of the curriculum presented, the letter of motivation and on the basis of the presentation made by the sending organization. The motivation letter should be clear and complete particular about the reasons for which the volunteer would like to take part in our activities by specifying which of the proposed activities found most interesting.
How to apply
Building Bridges members and/or long term unemployed (proved by scanned document) will have preference to this volunteer service.
We will study carefully all application and selected candidates will be invite for Skype interview. The selection of volunteers will take place in the coming weeks.
For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– Europass CV with picture (made in the last month) with skype name included
– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”. We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general EVS one. The volunteer is chosen according to his/her motivation and interest to the project and to the activities. It will be paid special attention to cover letters. Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”.
