We are a primary school in Estonia, looking for a new volunteer for next school-year (starting from 15th of September) to have a 10 months volunteering service. Here is some additional information about our town and school: is a kindergarten and primary school in Haapsalu
On the west coast of Estonia, 100 km from Estonia’s capital Tallinn.Our school is situated in a beautiful old manor. There are 42 children in two mixed-aged groups (2-7yrs) in the kindergarten and 146 students in school (7-13 yrs), in forms 1-6.
We have many traditional activities both in kindergarten and shool, e.g fundraising Playback Show in school, Mothers’ day play in the kindergarten. In the school we have many different after-class clubs for students: singing, dancing, playing instruments, playing sports, robotics, programming, art etc.
Our parents are very open-minded and active, they gladly take part in school’s activities.
The volunteer is accommodated in a vocational school dormitory (single room with kitchen corner and separate bathroom), only 500 m from our school. In the kindergarten and school the tasks for the volunteer is to help teachers and children in their everyday activities. In the kindergarten it is playing with the children indoor and outdoor, helping in physical education class and music class, going on field trips; in the school the volunteer can help with planning and organising events, helping in programming, robotics and art after-class clubs, helping students to do their homework in long-day class, going on field trips etc. Working hours are from Monday to Friday 9.00-15.00. The volunteer will get two warm meals in the school (at 12.00 and 14.00), food money 150€ per month and pocket money 3€ per day.
In Haapsalu, there are about 14 000 inhabitants, it is a well-known resort town with medieval episcopal castle.
In the area there are many possibilities to be active: play tennis and badminton, go swimming, play golf, football, basketball, floorball, disc-golf and volleyball, go fencing, skiing and ice skating. There is also possible to join the winter-swimming group (swimming the frozen sea).

[box type=»note»]We will study carefully all application and selected candidates will be invite for Skype interview. The selection of volunteers will take place in the coming weeks.
We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general ESC (European Solidarity Corps) or EVS (European Volunteer Service).
The volunteer is chosen according to his/her motivation and interest to the project and to the activities. It will be paid special attention to cover letters.
Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”.[/box]
For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– Europass CV with picture (made in the last month) with skype name included
– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”.
