Exchange summary

This project identifies a link between self-awareness and youth unemployment, in a way that if the youngsters are aware of their individual potential they will be more open and confident to create projects that will increase that potential, and consequently creating possible employment opportunities. This project has a set of two activities, an Advanced Planning Visit (APV) and a Youth Exchange (YE) which aims to support youngsters to help youth to overcome youth unemployment and the its consequences, by developing youth competences and knowledge in the areas of self-awareness, entrepreneurship, communication, etc., contributing for the creation of employment opportunities.

The APV and YE co-financed by the Erasmus+ Programme, will be in Trancozelos, Portugal, from 27-29 May 2016 and 17-24 September 2016. It will gather 12 and 36 youngsters, youth leaders and people that work with youth from Portugal, Estonia, Romania, Spain, Italy and Greece. The aim of the project is to explore and understand the role of youth work towards the consequences of youth unemployment in young people. Through non-formal education methodologies, the project will give youth the opportunity to think of innovative projects to youth work, in the area of entrepreneurship, will also provide a space for sharing good practices and resources in order to establish future cooperation for tackling youth unemployment.  We also want to empower youngsters, youth leaders and people to work with tools and resources that can be used to help decrease youth unemployment. Through non-formal education methodologies, the project intends to provide the participants with tools, teach them different methods and offer opportunities to develop competences in the previously mentioned areas.”.

Financial aspects

 Accommodation and lodging covered by 100% by the Erasmus +

 Travel expenses partially or entirely covered by Erasmus + (the amount depends of the route to the venue of the training).

The training course will be implemented in the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Programme, and travel expenses will be reimbursed to all participants according to travel limits set by the Erasmus+ Programme. If you stay within the given budget, your expenses will be covered 100%, and if you spend more, the exceeding amount will be your own contribution to your travel. Please find the maximum amounts participants can spend to travel to Budapest or to the venue in Felsőtárkány.

The reimbursement of your travel and visa costs will be organised on the spot in cash (EUR) during the training course, so please bring all necessary documents and receipts to make the process easier.

Accommodation and food during the training course will be fully covered. Insurance is obligatory and should be arranged and covered by each participant and will not be reimbursed. We reccommend “SegurosErasmus” which is the cheapest one.

Another alternative is bringing the European Health Insurance Card [EHIC] (for both APV and Youth Exchange) – all countries should request them for each participant;

!! Important: Consult the organisers before buying tickets. Only ticket options approved by the organisers will be reimbursed.

● The project doesn’t allow covering travel insurance, yet the participants must present the insurance document for safety reasons.
