The non-profit haubsache . was started in May 2014 as a private limited company. It is the private financial sponsor of the Kindergarten. The Kindergarten opened in November 2014. The name in English means „kindergarten of cultures“. It is a private institution with two groups for children from the age of 3 years to the age before entering school. The institution’s important interests are: cultural exchange, understanding of the world’s many differences and more sensitivity to the imbalance in our society. Children should see being different as part of their self-image and natural fact. The old categories like “First World”, “Second World” and “Third World” should stop being used. We should look at the world as a “whole” and act in this manner. Intercultural education is the teaching and learning of intercultural knowledge and skills. This allows people to have a positive opinion of cultural and individual differences.
Volunteers will get a single room in a shared apartment with kitchen and bathroom. For daily lunch, volunteers will get free meals at the kindergarten. For breakfast and dinner they will get money for food or to cook on their own. To travel around the region, European Volunteers get a monthly ticket. This ticket is for all forms of public transportation in the area of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald. On weekends and during school holidays, volunteers can use the ticket in the neighbouring areas of Ortenau, Schwarzwald-Baar, Lörrach and Waldshut-Tiengen.
On-arrival training and midterm-meeting organised by the German National Agency Weekly language training at the local adult education centre (Volkshochschule) At the beginning, volunteers get important training and support so they can complete their duties. There is standard training for all workers. This will help to avoid problems from the start of the program. Volunteers will learn their rights and duties, and the rules of the host organization. They will also learn the results of bad behaviour.
Volunteers should be interested in child care. Past experience in working with children and young people could be helpful. Volunteers should be sociable, outgoing, have enthusiasm, and be accepting of foreign cultures. Volunteers should be able to act individually, but also work well with a team. Volunteers should have a basic level of the German language. An interest in learning German is expected. Volunteers should write a ‘project-related motivation letter’. The decision will be based on motivation. It will not be based on background, gender, language skills, or level of education.
[box type=»note»]We will study carefully all application and selected candidates will be invite for Skype interview. The selection of volunteers will take place in the coming weeks.

¿Necesito mandarlo a alguna dirección diferente? Pues hoy en la fecha de cierre y no estoy muy segura de cómo funciona el proceso.
¡Gracias de antemano!
