Youth exchange will take place in Puck from 19th to 25th of September (travel days: 18th and 26th of September.

The participants of the project will be 40 young people from Poland, Italy, Spain and Lithuania at the age of 18 – 26 years old and 4 leaders (1 from each country) who want to develop their creativity and boost initiative, useful both in school, in private life and, above all, in professional life. All participants are actively working for the local community and for the activation of people with fewer opportunities including people with disabilities. The idea of organizing youth exchange was initiated by a group of young people actively cooperating with the applicant. The project was prepared by the originators in cooperation with partner organizations.
The main objective of the project is to: strengthen the powers of initiative and creativity of young people in the use of new media by applying the method of Design Thinking in creating an innovative promotion of the region.
The specific objectives are:
– Developing problem-solving skills by using the method DT and the development of creativity
– Getting to know the typical methods of tourist promotion of the region and examing their effectiveness among young people, including young people with disabilities
– Shaping the empathetic attitude towards socialy excluded youth including people with diasbilities and minimizing social exclusion
– Getting to know the cultural and historical values of the Puck and its neighborhood
– Deepening the ability to turn ideas into action by creating prototypes of innovative methods in regional promotion, testing and assessment of its strengths and weaknesses
– Development of project management skills
– Deepening teamwork skills in an international environment
– Learning cultures of the countries participating in the exchange
– Overcoming cultural and language barriers
– Dialogue and cooperation with the local community.
It was established in 2011. We are a non-profit organization which brings together experts in the implementation of projects that promote inter-
regional and transnational cooperation for sustainable socio-economic development. Our priority is to prepare the activities that are designed so as to engage the local community in an active civic life through the implementation of the cooperation projects.
We kindly ask you to arrive to Gdynia on 27th at the latest at noon. You can leave after APV on 28th after 7 p.m. or in the morning on next day.
Please write to us before you book the flights or other ways of transport. After that we can help you arrange travel from Airport to Gdynia.
The nearest airport to Gdynia is Airport im. Lecha Wałęsy in Gdańsk.
From the airport you you should take train or bus (4A) that goes directly to Gdynia Główna (Gdynia City Centre).
Bus tickets costs 4 zł and the bus driver sells it. You Should validate it in the bus. . Train ticket costs 6,50 zł and you can buy it from ticket maschine or in the head of the train (from ticket controller).
You can also fly to Warsaw and than take train to Gdynia ( travel take around 3,5 hours and costs from 50-170 zł- it depends when you buy ticket and for what kind of train).
We will reimburst money sepent for travel for APV after youth exchange on organisation’s bank account, according to currency exchange calculator from European Commission based on the tickets of public transport, boarding passes and confirmations (with prices) from companies (eg. Ryanair) etc.
Participants will be accommodated in new building in double rooms with bathroom. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be guaranteed.
HOM facilities: Wi-Fi and in each room: bedlinen, kettle, cups, glasses, plates, spoons, one towel per person.
Costs transport covered: Spain- 360 Euros
All your principal costs during the training are taken in charge by the Erasmus + program (food, accommodation, training, etc.). About the travel cost from your home to our place, Erasmus+ program is taking a part of the cost. You have to buy your tickets and the reimbursement will be done a month or two after the end of the activities. Taxis will not be reimbursed.
We need your travel documents (boarding pass, tickets, invoices) to be able to reimburse you, so MAKE SURE YOU KEEP ALL YOUR TICKET RECEIPTS!
The reimbursements will be proceeded by bank transfer after the exchange upon sending all travel documents and international bank details. Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon full attendance of the project and presentation of the original travel tickets with boarding passes, receipts, invoices.
Reimbursement will be done in EURO, regardless of the currency indicated on the ticket and receipt/invoice. Any tickets purchased in a local currency other than EUR0, will then be converted and calculated according to the exchange rate of the month when the ticket/s were purchased, as stated in the official European Commission web-site.
If you wish to travel on other dates than the dates of the exchange, please take contact with the organizers before purchasing your tickets! Please plan your trip carefully.
Early arrivals or late departures will be the own responsibility of the participants.
According to the NA the arrival and travel back must be realized by participants within maximum of 2 days. In case of longer stays or indirect travel (holiday travel, etc) there is no chance of reimbursement. Also, if you want to stay one or two days longer, before or after the training course, we will not be able to host you at the training course’s location and you will have to find a place to stay at your own. If you have difficulties with it, contact us. Please note that the organizers will not provide any additional accommodation outside the dates of the exchange!
Coordinator organization will transfer travel expenses to your sending organization and they are the ones who will give you your travel expenses back. Travel expenses will be reimbursed the latest one month after the submission of the final report and to get them you will have to do all participants tasks, including ones before and after mobility as stated under participants’ tasks .Every participant is obligated to actively participate in all activities. In a case of missing out more than 10% of activities participants travel expenses won’t be reimbursed and participant is risking getting expelled from the project and sent back home on their own expenses.
1 group leader and 1 young participant from each country, that later will particiapate in youth exchange.
Number of participants form each country: 10 + 1 leader.
The profile of each participant should follow and respect the following criteria of selection:
• Aged 18-26;
• Able to work and communicate in English;
• Gender balanced (5 M/5 F)
• Creative, open minded and pro-active
• Creative attitudes;
• Interest in the project objectives and themes
The main activity in the project will be the seven-day youth exchange, which will be based on the method of DT while working on innovative methods of promotion of the region. All activities will be based on non-formal education methods (brainstorming, discussions, workshops, work in mixed groups) and will be held in the town of Puck near Gdynia.

Visiting Puck and neigbourhood, learning about local nature,history etc.
Creating prototypes. First model trial of promotion / marketing.
First presentation and test of prototypes.
The groups will improve their prototypes , combine all models into a consistent advertising campaign of Puck and neighborhoods .
Meeting with representatives of Local Action Group.
Testing prototypes among local youth.
Refinement of prototypes. Summary of test results.
Continuation of prototype correction.
Developing a survey addressed to recipients.

All participants will be able to get a Youthpass certificate after the project.
Youthpass is a part of the European Commission recognition of non-formal learning. It confirms the participation in the training course emphasizing the learning process and individual reflection about new competences that the participants gained during the project. The participants have the possibility to describe what they have done in the project and which skills and competences they have acquired.
Building Bridges members and/or long term unemployed (proved by scanned document) will have preference to this volunteer service.

2. Pay the registration fee (40€) by Paypal or bank transfer to :Asociación Building Bridges, CIF G85466886. This registration fee includes one year membership to our National and International activities.
* It is compulsory to send application form, CV and motivation letter and pay the registration fee at the same time in order to be within the pre-selection process.
