The organisation:
Youth Information Center provides youngsters and young adults with all necessary information about education, job, leisure, health, traveling, and so on. They also provide various workshops for schools and take part in different fairs for young people. For example job or travel fairs.
Your tasks:
Our volunteer has the opportunity to be active and creative in the field of new media (e.g. video making, facebook, instagram,..), if he/she wishes. Besides these tasks we also require the volunteer to be a support during our schoolworkshop (e.g. foreign posibilities, safer internet,…), events (e.g. education fairs), projects (summer open air cinema,…) and in our daily office work.
Regular/daily tasks are supporting in running the youth information center office, as f.i. printing info material, maintenance work, doing bureau orders or keeping stock in order. Youth information work is generally multifaceted work, according to the interests of the volunteer many different opportunities are possible: Working with new media as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube (maintaining the channel) – bringing in new ideas/communicating new trends, updating homepage, taking fotos, filming, video editing.
What you should bring in:
It would be great if you are interested in new media like Youtube or Instagram and if you are ready to bring in new ideas!
Please note: The work at the youth information center is mainly office work, from MO-FR, 30 hours a week. (weekends and late-night hours will take place according to our projects and will be discussed in advance with the volunteer).
How to apply
Building Bridges Association members will have preference, please enroll to the association here.
For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– Europass CV with picture (made in the last month)
– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”. We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general EVS one.
Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”.
