Project Name: ‘Topic of the Day: Employability’

Get involved in our project that will be implemented in the following 6 months (2015) in our city of Timișoara, ROMANIA.

Selection of participants:

The person should:
– have experience in non-formal education
– have previously worked with young people
– have a good English conversational level
– be up to date to the condition of young people in their own country
– be willing to work along with people coming from different cultures
– be a group that gives consideration to and respects gender equality

Activities

The activities will be centered, initially, on identifying the subsidiary needs of the youngters, the ones that derive from the problems that they encountered in the process of finding a workplace. We will therefore involve them in activities using non-formal education methods which aim at developing their practical abilities to help them increase their chances of getting a job.

On the long run, we aim at creating some platforms, materials and mechanism that would constantly support young people that have encountered the same problem.

Main goals of ‘Topic of the day: Employability’

1. Increasing the knowledge of the young people involved regarding the oportunities, rights and liabilites they can benefit from as European citizens.
2. Developing an analysis on the employability of young people in their own countries.
3. Developing behaviours and attitudes regarding opportunities such as volunteering, internships and non-formal education to increase the professional experience of the youngsters.
4. Identifying and developing mechanisms that will help the young people to create an online profile using 2.0. web technologies
5. Creating and improving competences that would increase their employability, while also familiarizing them with the relevant online media platforms.

We will involve the participants in all the stages of the projects and we recquire their presence on two occasions:
1. For the Advanced Planning Visit, that will take place in mid-March 2015
2. For the main activities of the project, that will take place in mid-July 2015

Trip to Romania and back is covered as according to European standards.
